    argument before boxing match

There is usually a press conference before a boxing match. And the boxers sometimes speak abut themselves in a way as if they are sure they will definitely win the match. Sometimes the boxers stand in front of each other with their head against the other one's head. Is there any word / phrase for this action?
    Thanks.

The press conference usually takes place in conjunction with the "weigh-in" where both boxers are officially weighed for the contest.

You could call it a stare down.

You might also enjoy the phrase "trash talking."
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
