[General] Meaning of " Are you behaving yourself ? and " Are you being nice" ?

Hello.

What does the following sentences mean? "Are you behaving yourself? " "Are you being nice?"


Are they used as a kind of greeting, like , "How are you?" , "How's it going", etc ??


It would be great if you could also tell me what response would it be for that..

Those are both extremely odd greetings, unless it's a parent, checking in on a child playing with friends.
