Look at the following sentence:

Would you like a drink of some kind?

I think that "a drink of some kind" means "a drink which is a mixture of several different kinds of drinks".

Could you please correct my opinion if I am wrong?

Hi,

IMO, it just means any drink (a Coke, beer, wine, whiskey... you name it).

I agree with Charlie. There are other ways to ask this that would sound more natural in my opinion. For instance, I normally hear, "Would you like something to drink?" (The example in the OP sounds formal to my ears.)
