    Question horrible vs lousy vs terrible vs awful need help..

    can you explain the different between these words ?


    • terrible
    • lousy
    • horrible
    • awful




    1. The food was horrible.
    2. The food was terrible
    3. The food was awful
    4. The food was lousy.


    i know these words have same meaning. but i don't know the exact meaning of these words. can you tell me when to use this word with some example. please don't copy past from dictionary . i need your help to clear my doubts.

    As you have suggested, they mean more or less the same.

    My guess is that you need some previous basic knowledge, before getting to the minute differences between basically synonymous words. We'll be more than happy to help you.
