    How are you holding up?

    Rachel: Hey!

    Tag: Hey.

    Rachel: How are you holding up?

    Tag: Not bad.

    => I know "How are you holding up?" means " How are you doing?"
    but can I use this expression normally? I mean, is this expression should
    be used in special situation? (like when somedody is in depressed mood?)
    Please,answer me~ ^^;

    It's mostly used when someone is ill, under pressure, in trouble, etc.
