    Tenses: might not have been/ wouldn't/ hasn't been

    Several times we tried to show Mr Dobbs the risks but he.... persuaded.
    A wouldn't have been
    B wouldn't be
    C might not have been
    D hasn't been
    Is C correct?

    B is the most likely but a case could be made for D and even for C. It's a poor test question.
