Are the following sentences correct?
1. I wished he would come to see me the day after next.
2. I wished he would come to see me 2 days after next.
3. I wished he would come to see me the summer after next.
4. I wished he would come to see me 2 summers after next.
Thanks a lot.
Hello Peter,
I wish he had...
I hope he will...
2 and 4 aren't natural - why not say "in three days" or "in three years"?
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
