"That's so sweet of you inviting me."



I heard this line in a movie and wonder if it is grammatical, because we

normally say " It's very sweet of you to invite me" .

It's the sort of construction you'll hear in colloquial conversation.

Use your version if you want to be sure of getting it right.

As Rover said, you'll hear it in conversation. If you think about it the other way round, it sounds fine:

Inviting me was so sweet [of you].
