    "would you mind if I asked you for an advice"

    Is this sentence grammatically correct ? "would you mind if I asked you for an advice"

    It's not correct.

    'Would you mind if I asked you for an advice?' would be an improvement.

    Don't leave a space before a question mark.

    I actually like "some advice" better than just "advice."
    Or Would you mind if I asked your advice?"
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
