    Question So as to

Look at the phrase 'so as to.' How should I understand it, or eventually write differently? As in the following sentence: 'Behave in a way so as to attract attention' (it's the meaning of the phrasal verb show off). I understand this, but don't know how to describe this in different words.

    Thanks
