    Mostly, use does and do for questions:

    Do I/you/we/they smoke?
    Does he/she/it/Uncle Louie smoke?


    As you can see, does is the third person singular form of the verb.

    Do/does also appear in other ways. For instance, it is also a main verb: My wife does the dishes.

    There is no difference in meaning, Amy, between do and does.

    I do the dishes.
    You do the dishes.
    She does the dishes.
    We do the dishes.
    They do the dishes.
