Question relating to and related to

It seems both can mean connected to / concerning. Any difference between them and are both correct? thanks

Re: relating to and related to

I am only related to that man because he married my mother.
I have no documents relating to that matter.

Those two sentences are examples of one usage of each. As bhaisahab said, the context you use will dictate which one you need.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
