    Are so that and in order that exchangeable in mentioning about result under the topic of 'subordinate conjunctions'?

    If yes, are the following sentences correct?

    We took Mary home so that she could arrange her meeting.
    We took Mary home in order that she could arrange her meeting.

    They are both correct and they mean the same. The first one is more likely.
