    How much left?

    Hello

I am thinking of a situation where a group of students sit at a lecture listening to a teacher and in the end of the lecture one student gets bored and asks 'How much left?'. Would that be correct? Otherwise what would they say?

    Thanks

    Alex.

"How much time we left" is entirely incorrect English.

"How much left?" would be understood. You could also ask "How much is left?", "How much longer?", "How much more of this do we have to sit through?" ()
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Excellent as always my teacher besides, I couldn't agree more

Paraphrase for what has been said. I did mean that; is there enough time in which we can continue our subject, lecture, discussion, & you name it. Making sure that I used to hear that kind of structure at university.

    Re: How much left?

"How much left" sounds wrong to me. How much time left? How much longer?

    Re: How much left?

Then I believe, 'How much time left do we have?' will also do, won't it?

No, the word order is incorrect. "How much time do we have left?"

    Re: How much left?

"How much time have we left?" also seems fine to me.
However, I think the bored student is really asking how much longer he/she must endure the lecture, rather than how much time is available.
So something like "How much more to go?", "How much longer (does it go on)?" seems more appropriate.

    not a teacher
