    Hi everyone,
What is the exact difference between "private" and "personsal"?
    Thanks.

    Re: Hi

'Personal' doesn't necessarily mean that it is private- your personal details would include your name, age, etc. If it's private, then you can keep it secret, or should be able to.

In my opinion,I think a personal thing is something exclusively yours or one that is rightfully yours;one which no other person can share in.However, the word private may be construed to mean something that does not exclusive/rightfully belong to me but which I have decided to appropriate with a view to preventing others from having access to it.
..."May I have a private discussion with you"...I want you to oblige me(away from others)...it is not a right..."I have some personal matters to discuss with you"...Such matters are exclusively mine...(eg family, finance, business etc).
