    Oxford advanced 8th explanation

In Oxford Advanced 8th, in the entry for the idiom
    my pleasure

used as a polite way of replying when somebody thanks you for doing something, to show that you were happy to do it
I don't understand why the lexicographer wanted to emphasize the past status; could anyone help me?

That's the way it's generally used - It was/has been my pleasure.
