In IF CLAUSE structures, I have known the inversion of if clauses like the sentences below:
+ If you read this book, you would realise its value.
--> Were you to read this book, you would realise its value.
+ And I have also read a sentence in a book:
" Were you to have turned left at the lights, you would have got here ten minutes earlier."
I wonder if this sentence is the inversion of if clause:
--> If you had turned left at the lights, you would have got here ten minutes earlier."
