    The 'write' choice...

    The 'write' choice for president

Source: The 'write' choice for president - Israel Opinion, Ynetnews

If the title does make sense, what does the write choice mean? I am confused because write is a verb and preceded by definite article at the same time.

write - definition of write by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

    Re: The 'write' choice...

It is a pun – it has two meanings at once.
"Write" and "right" (the "intended" word, so to speak) are homophones, that is they are pronounced the same. The article is about the American presidential candidates and an analysis of their handwriting, so the writer of that article made a pun, based on the homophony of the two words and its link to the topic.
