    Question procrastination

Below two sentenses are from a short article about procrastination:
1.Warning signs of procrastination include a desire to create a new filing system or to check the points on all your pencils.
    2. Create enough momentum to get things going and you can leave your ideas to mature while rewarding yourself with a bit of pencil sharpening.

What does it mean by saying of "check the points on all your pencils" and "a bit of pencil sharpening"?

    Thanks a lot
    Quinley

    Re: procrastination

There just examples of the way we waste time when we don't want to do something. People often tidy their desks or waste time arranging things instead of working.

    Re: procrastination

Sharp practice = practice that is a bit unfair or close to immoral/wrong. It's taking advantage of someone in some way.
