    Negative structure, expression of opinion

    1. Without technology, human would not have the achievements of today.
    2. Without technology, human do not have the achievements of today.

    Which one is better?

P.S. I think they are similar with the sentence which Obama said,
"And I wouldn't be the man I am today without the woman who agreed to marry me 20 years ago."
I am fond of learning English!

I'm really not sure about "have the achievements of today".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

...and technology itself is a human achievement—it didn't happen by accident.

    I. If the sentence is rewrited,
…….Without uses of technologies, many mysteries remain concealed in the world and humans would not have the achievements of today.

    Is it better now?

II. Could you tell me what the reason is? Is it because the tone of using ‘would’ is softer, less definite than ‘do’?
