    more intelligent and kind

1-He is a more intelligent and kind man.
2-We need a more intelligent and kind man.

    Do these mean:
a- a man who is more intelligent and also kind
    or:
b- a man who is more intelligent and also kinder?

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

    Re: more intelligent and kind

The 'more' probably applies to both words. If it didn't, we'd write 'a kind and more intelligent man'.
