    What does "sleep better knowing" mean??

    i read an advert today, saying that "you sleep better knowing it will be at your side protecting you...". what does sleep better knowing mean? do it has an origion or story with it? many thanks.

    Please use grammatical English as an example to your students, gxiang.

    It means 'If you know it is by your side protecting you, you will be able to sleep more soundly'.

    What is 'it'? A dog?
