Is the following wording correct?

Online games make students temporarily forget the anxiety in real life. As a result, they extend longer time surfing the Net day by day.

***** NOT A TEACHER *****

Is the following wording correct?

Not quite, I'm afraid. Are you referring to some kind of specific anxiety? If not, here's how I would write it:

Online games make students temporarily forget their real-life anxieties. As a result, they spend more time surfing the Net day by day.

 An idiom you might find useful if you want an alternative rewrite - which isn't necessary because CS's is fine ;-) - is '<something> slips your mind'. In that context though, I think it's better to focus on the gamer as 'losing track of the real world'.

PS ...And if they do their gaming on Second Life, you could say they lose track of their first life.
