    Dear grammar teachers:
    In the following sentence, which of the adjectives in red collocates best with ôlifestyle"?

    he led a glamorous/fashionable/trendy/ hip lifestyle not caring a fig about the poor conditions most of his people live in.

    It depends on the way the person lived, though trendy and hip are dated slang IMO- I'd probably use glamorous. Also, as you use the past tense for led, I would use lived. And a comma before not.
