real estate vs Real Madrid?

I learned from a vocabulary book that "real" in "real estate" means "royal" in Spanish. In ancient time, land used to belong to the royal court, which resulted in the term.
I happened to wonder about the meaning of "Real" in "Real Madrid", the spanish soccer team. I used to think "Real" means "real, actual, the best", but it seem to mean "royal" now. What do you think?

In Spanish there is no question. Real in Spanish means royal in English.

However the word made it into the English language, real now means actual and existing, as opposed to imaginary or supposed. In AmE real is also used colloquially as a synonym for very.
In legal argot real property (BrE) or real estate (AmE) mean land and possibly buildings, as opposed to chattels, which are moveable property,
