    Expressing wishes about the future

    Hi all,

Is this sentence correct? Why? Why not?

I wish I would go on a long holiday next summer.

    Thanks,

Re: Expressing wishes about the future

When talking about ourselves, we normally use could: I wish I could go on a long holiday next summer.
