    Would you help me with this sentense,please?

    Dear teachers ,please explain this sentense to me.
    "It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who came out so far ahead that the distance cannot be measured."
    I know all these words but i can't catch the meaning of this sentense:(
    And one more question
    does "cut out on smb" mean "to be angree with smb"?

    If something is not rocket science, it isn't complex, so it means that you don't have to be brilliant to understand who was so far ahead of the rest.

    If you cut out on someone, you let them down, fail to do what you had promised.
