verbs for animals' sounds?

As a non-native speaker of English, I found it very diffficult to choose the proper verbs for animals' sounds. I only know very few of them. Here is a list of regular animal. Please help me with this:)

dog---bark
cat---meow
human--scream/roar?
horse---?
tiger---roar
sheep/goat---?
bull/cow---?
canary--tweet?
owl---?
chicken---?
cicada---?
hen---?
cock---?
duck---quack

Please add more if you believe they are neccessary to know.

By the way, is there a generic verb or phrasal verb for animals' sounds?

You could have saved yourself a lot of time and typing by putting "animal sounds" into Google and looking at the huge number of hits. Here's the best one: List of animal sounds - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Try to work things out using books and the internet before asking us to simply Google something and find your answers for you.

As there is more than one animal whose sounds are being discussed, I am moving the apostrophe for you before other students begin to think animal's sounds is correct.
