Please these two sentences made me confused “got married, was married”. I know both are past but I can’t differentiate between them in which sentence the divorce takes place.

I got married since 2008.
I was married.

I was married.

The first one is incorrect. The second is possible in the right context. There is no mention of divorce.

As bhaisahab said, there is no mention of divorce so we can't help you there.

I got married in 2008.
I have been married since 2008.
I was married in 2008. (This can have two meanings.)

[STRIKE]I got married since 2008. [/STRIKE] If you are still married, "I have been married since 2008". OR if referring to a previous marriage, "I got married in 2008".

I was married previously.
