Hello,
Happy New Year to all of you!
Can I use 'can' to imply that something is happening right now at this moment in the following sentence?
Look, there is a fight just outside the pub. The situation is getting out of hand.
Would it be possible to say '' Look, there is a fight just outside the pub. The situation can get out of hand. '' to suggest that the situation is getting out of hand, in other words that this is happening right now or is just '' The situation is getting out of hand. '' appropriate in this context?
Greetings
