If there were the sentence ; "Gary knows he runs."
Gary-Subject, knows- verb, but what are the rest of the words?
Do we consider "he runs" one thing that is being known or is Gary knowing more or less that 'he'(which is a noun) runs(verb)? Gary is knowing not a thing but the 'what he is doing.'
It's both- it is, above all, what he knows, but consists of two words. However, which aspect is more important? I'd say that it is what he knows.
