    Hi.

    There was a fire at school in New Town.

    Is it correct? ( I thought that fire is uncountable noun and we can't use a article in above sentence.)

    Look at the countable and uncountable meanings of fire here.

    You also need a before 'school', unless there is only one school in New Town, in which case you need the.
