    ill vs sick

I've found an example in a grammar book and I wonder if it's correct:

I shouldn't have eaten so much chocolate --> (how I feel now) I wish I didn't feel so ill. (There's a woman in the picture touching her stomach and has weird expression on her face)

I've always thought that "sick" is the correct choice for such a situation.
