    as I wrote the story

    Can one say:
The second sentence is the same in all of them. Only the first one changes.

    a. As I wrote the story, it ends with the death of the main character. But when they made a movie based on the book, they changed the ending.

    b. The way I wrote the story, it ends with the death of the main character. But when they made a movie based on the book, they changed the ending.

    c. The story, as I wrote it, ends with the death of the main character. But when they made a movie based on the book, they changed the ending.

    d. As I wrote the story, the main character dies at the end. But when they made a movie based on the book, they changed the ending.

    e. In the story, as I wrote it, the main character dies at the end. But when they made a movie based on the book, they changed the ending.

    Many Thanks.
