    in the order?

    Dear Teachers,

Would you have a look at the following description for me?

"...she reached indiscriminately into the field of dead bottles to grab one that had anything sloshing around on the bottom. She fished out the Allen Chard, veering recklessly backward in the order-my girl! I held out my glass and she topped me off."

I don't understand what it meant by "veering recklessly backward in the order", what did she do anyway? I am also confused about why the narrator exclaimed "my girl"? ...

    Re: in the order?

It's an old bottle, so it was early on the list- they're going backwards in terms of the wine tasting. 'My girl' is there to sound like a pompous critic, in an amiable way.
