    Romeo and Juliet

What is the meaning of 'Reminds of Romeo and Juliet' and 'It might do for an Englishman but it won't do for me'?

    Re: Romeo and Juliet

'Reminds of Romeo and Juliet'- they are one of the most famous examples of young love, so I presume that there is some comparison to that going on.
'It might do for an Englishman but it won't do for me'- presumably yhe person has higher standards than the English- don't know who it is or why.
