    'If' clause

I've just heard this sentence in an episode and I was wondering what the 'trick' is:
''If you'll just hand over the password, I'd like my site back''.
I pressume it's not actually a conditional, just as in the case 'If you will excuse me, I have better things to do.' or at least, something like that.

You are right, it's not a conditional sentence. What "trick" do you mean?

The ''trick'' the sentence uses for not obeying the conditional rule.

It's essentially a spoken sentence. Nobody would write it.
