• 'Gone With the Wind's movie cast was superlative.
• 'Rocky IV's Sylvester Stallone is in great physical shape.
• 'Back to the Future's Michael J Fox is a family man.
• 'The Guardian's article on cardiovascular fitness was informative.
• 'The Economist's editor didn't catch the typographical error.

Good to all if I opt not to use italics?

Thanks

Good?

I find that messy for the reasons you are obviously concerned with. You have ended up with either a single quotation mark at each end of Gone With The Wind but no apostrophe, or an opening single quotation mark and an apostrophe, but no closing quotation mark.
I would solve the problem by using "The cast of "Gone With The Wind" was ..."

Yes, but in this rare instance the single market can kill two birds with one stone and serve this dual purpose. Agree?

I wouldn't use these.
