    Comma or semicolon?

Comma or semicolon after the word 'details' below?

She saw to the last two details; ie flowers were waiting and the driver kept mum.

    Thanks

    Re: Comma or semicolon?

    How about a colon?

    Re: Comma or semicolon?

    Sounds great.

Is the comma an absolute no-no? Or would this be tantamount to a comma splice?
'She saw to the last two details, ie flowers were waiting and the driver kept mum'.

    How about a dash, too?
'She saw to the last two details - ie flowers were waiting and the driver kept mum'.

Actually, do all work (comma, semicolon or dash) in the placement of that sentence? If not, which are your picks?

    Thanks

You don't need the "i.e." Just use a colon.
