    Cool subjunctive

    Hello,

Is the subjunctive needed here, please?

-I suggest that he does/do something.

-I recommmend that he does/do something.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Will

    Re: subjunctive

In British English, the subjunctive is correct, but not essential. We are more likely to say, "I recommend that he does /should do something".
