    Question Please help me understand this.

    Please read the sentence mentioned below. The underlined part of the sentence has to be corrected.

    To have acquainted with him, I could easily understand why he had done it.

    Options:
    (a) To be acquainted
    (b) having acquainted
    (c) Being acquainted
    (d) No improvement required


    Answer: (b)

    It seems to me that option (c) also suits the given context. Please explain why I am wrong , and why the option (b) is the best suitable option.
