    present perfect simple/continuous?

Peggy is ready for her exam now. I (help) ……………………… her prepare for it.

5jj: Both forms are possible. The progressive (continuous) form may lay more emphasis on the duration of the helping.

(A few seconds later): My apologies, haseli. I accidentally edited your post instead of responding to it. However, my intended response stands. If you have any doubts, please raise them.
