    admission vs admittance

What is the difference between 'admission' and 'admittance'?

Does "admission" mean the right or permission to enter?
Does "admittance" mean the act of actually entering?

    Thanks.

The difference is that while both can mean "permission to enter", "admission" also has other uses.
