Would you be so kind to tell me whether he really said 'I did asked him' on 1:50 of this video, or, which is more likely, there is something wrong with my ears? :)

It's not acceptable, but it is understandable, particularly when you are talking quickly. He meant to say either "I did ask him", or "I asked him", and it came out as a bit of both. That's what's called "tripping over your tongue", and I've certainly done it lots of times: more and more as I get older!
