Hello friends. I was hoping somebody could look at the following article. I have run into yet more comma trouble with an editor telling me the following,

"This article is missing commas necessary for clarity or includes commas that are misplaced."

I have made a few changes, but need further advice just in case I have missed something.

As ever, thank you so much for your time and patience.

Can I assume from the number of views without a reply that the grammar is fine?

Not necessarily. It's a long piece and I, for one, have not had time to go through and do it justice. The number of views simply reflects the number of people who have clicked on the thread title. We might all have clicked on it, seen the length of it, and thought "Sorry, I really don't have time to do that properly" and gone away to answer shorter questions in a different thread.

I have had a quick skim over the first two paragraphs. Paragraph 2 has three slight errors:

- it's "evolved into"
- You need a comma after "Today"
- I think "examples or Roman" is a typo and you meant "examples of Roman".
