When you go to a shop, after your buying, sometimes the salesperson gives you something as their free gift to persuade you to come back there again. We call it 'eshantiun.' For example if you buy a laptop the salesperson gives you a free flash driver or something else.
What would you call 'eshantiun' in English?

Have you looked the word up in a Persian-English dictionary to see what it gives as the English translation?

You could say that they threw in a flash drive.

It looks like the French word "echantillon" which is a "free sample".

Exactly, but it's not always among their products, so can I call it a sample? Sometimes they give you a free toy or something interesting or anything just for fun.
Can I still call them sample?
