    Origin & Etymology of Word.

    Hello Friends,
Myself Vishal and a new member of this forum. My native language is Hindi. Recently I read an article about
medical science in a Hindi article which referenced a sanskrit word-"Cough".
Now my question is that whether the word 'Cough' is originally from Sanskrit language or have origin in English.
I have also done an Internet search on this but couldn't find sufficient answer.
Will anybody please explain the origin & etymology of the word "Cough" .

Cough | Define Cough at Dictionary.com

The dictionary here seems to believe it is an Old English word.
