The objective of the research was to study problems of and solutions to
academic administration in small primary schools under the office of Saraburi
Elementary Educational Area 2. The population was administration in small primary
schools under the office of saraburi Elementary Educational Area 2, in academic year
2553, from 66 schools. The population of the research was 132 administrational and
academic teachers. The population was divided into two groups. The first group
which was 66 administrations, and the second group which was 66 academic
teachers. The instruments were questionnaire and interview. The statistical analyses
were frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The findings revealed that the overall problems of academic administration
in small primary schools under the office of Saraburi Elementary Educational Area 2
were in the moderate level (μ = 2.79, σ = 0.58). Considering each aspect, the highestaverage
aspect was teaching media, followed by the curriculum and its application in
teaching and learning, and the evaluation respectively. As for the solutions to academic
administration in those schools, the teaching media aspect should be increased in
terms of the budget by asking from the government departments or from donation.
For the curriculum and its application to teaching and learning aspect, there should be
a training or seminar with manuals for the involved parties such as the administrators,
teachers, and teaching staff. It should be followed and evaluated step by step. For
the teaching and learning aspect, the teachers should be promoted to attend the
seminar outside the schools and to increase the teaching media. For the evaluation
aspect, the teachers should be supported by attending the workshop about raising
the knowledge and understanding of evaluation. Moreover, they should be provided
evaluation books, manuals and computer programmes.
