    arts section

What does "arts section" mean in this sentence?

"It was Ginny across the hall. I give her the arts section when I'm done with it and I'm late today."

    not a teacher

You've given us very little context, ozden, but I'll suggest that it means the arts section of a newspaper. That is, the section with articles and reviews dealing with books, exhibitions, films etc.
