Hi

I would like to know the correct use of "to" after the verb "help"
Whether it is correct to use "to" after "help" or just put another verb after "Help"

Please suggest which among the following uses are correct.

1. He helped me to do the work./ He helped me do the work.
2. The sunlight helped them to reach their destination / The sunlight helped them reach their destination
3. The discussion among the strangers helped him to identify the location. / The discussion among the strangers helped him identify the location.

Please explain with some more examples..

Regards

HELP is one of those rare verbs which can be followed by either a bare infinitive or a to- infinitive. There is no difference in meaning at all.

When I was at school in England half a century ago, the use of the bare infinitive was regarded as a barbarous Americanism, but those days are long past.
